Treatment of high grade  changes can prevent the development of cancer. These two HPV strains together are currently responsible  for approximately 70%&lt;sup class="reference" id="cite_ref-FDA_Licenses_New_Vaccine_2-0"&gt;&lt;a href="#cite_note-FDA_Licenses_New_Vaccine-2"&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/sup&gt;&lt;sup class="reference" id="cite_ref-pmid16670757_3-0"&gt;&lt;a href="#cite_note-pmid16670757-3"&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/sup&gt; of all  cervical cancers.
